The Center for Objective Health Policy is supported through voluntary donations from people who care about the future of healthcare and the ideas that the culture adopts toward health policy. Your membership enables us to continue to provide important analysis and commentary, educate tomorrow's doctors and healthcare professionals about free markets, fight against bad health policies and regulations, and much more.
You probably know that we post articles on the OHP website and give away free sets of books to medical students and health policy graduate students. But did you also know that we disseminate links and comments via social media, publish writings on other sites, respond to government requests for public comment on proposed regulations, sponsor and host events, create videos, and develop educational handouts for people to distribute to friends and colleagues? We want to do more of these things, but we are frequently limited by cost.
By becoming a member, you'll be giving us the moral and financial support necessary to take on more projects and expand our outreach. You'll be providing us with an important market signal that what we're doing is valued (i.e., by someone other than the people we engage directly, who we know like OHP because they tell us so). You'll get to see a small, promising organization grow and mature before your eyes!

Supporters enable us to reach out to students and give them free books and materials explaining the case for free markets in medicine. Your support will make it possible for us to award one kit to one student. As a supporter, you'll receive a personalized thank-you, access to special content (forthcoming), and our monthly newsletter. |
Silver Benefactors help us take on more writing projects, produce videos for the web, award kits to as many as six students over the course of the year, spread our message to the general public with printed materials, and more. In addition to a personalized thank-you, you will be recognized by name in our year-end report, receive access to our special content (forthcoming), and you'll get our monthly newsletter. |
Gold Benefactors truly keep OHP alive and growing. They enable us to make better-quality videos, develop educational content for students, give away many kits, host and sponsor events, spread our message through the media and at conferences, and much more. You or your business will be recognized by name in every kit we award and in our year-end report; you will be recognized at events; you'll get access to our special content (forthcoming); and you'll get our monthly newsletter. |
Additional Notes About Donating
If you are a Silver Benefactor or Gold Benefactor and do not wish for your name to appear when we put out our year-end report or hold events, just let us know and you will not be identified.
Please note that since we have not elected to incorporate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donation is not tax-deductible. We understand that this decision may have an effect on our ability to raise money, but it also maximizes our freedom of speech and our ability to advocate for our beliefs, while avoiding what would be a substantial administrative burden. This could change in the future if compelling opportunities present themselves, but for now we hope that you will see the advantages of this stance and will still support the work we do today.
